Well folks, here we are at the end of another season.  Where did the time go?  It feels like we just started!

 
The Championship tournament results are available on our website (Open | Womens | Youth).  In closing our season we hope you can join us at the Annual Meeting on May 8th.  In June we will to finalize the tournament season with our Adult & Junior Awards Dinner.

2014 Annual Meeting 
  
The 2014 Annual meeting of the Greater Grand Rapids USBC Association will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at Westgate Lanes.  The following positions are to be filled by election for the corresponding terms:
  
Vice President: 3 year term
5 Directors: 3 year term
2 Youth Directors: 3 year term
Delegates to the 2015 USBC National Meeting 
Delegates to the 2015 Michigan State USBC WBA Annual Meeting (women only): 1 year term
Delegates to the 2015 Michigan State USBC BA Annual Meeting (either gender provided they hold BA state membership)
Delegates to the 2015 Michigan State USBC Youth Annual Meeting
 
All members are allowed to vote.  Nominations from the floor may be made, providing the candidate's qualifications have been submitted to the Nominating Committee at least 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting.  These qualifications must be submitted on the approved candidate nomination form. (for additional information and/or forms please contact the Nominating Chair at 616-456-1517).

Michigan Leader is Youth Volunteer of the Year  
  
Once again we would like to congratulate Sharon Schildroth (previous GGRUSBC President) who has been named the USBC Youth Volunteer of the Year for her more than 30 years of service to youth bowling at the local, state an national levels.
  
Several of our Board Members were in attendance to witness this great event.  These members will fill us in on what they learned at the National Convention at the Annual Meeting on May 8th.  Hope to see you there.

The 2014 City Championship
tournament has come to an end for this season.  Thank you to everyone that participated.

USBC National Delegates
  
Fran Reus, Jacque Monje, Shirley Avery, Rich Smith, Sharyl Jahn & Amber Borrello represented the GGRUSBC at the USBC National Convention this year.  Come to the annual meeting and hear what they have to say about it.

Jalon J. Corp Jr., from the Paragon All Stars Junior League rolled his first ever 300 game on March 22, 2014. With an average of 164, he bowled games of 165, 300 & 206 to finish with a series of 671. 
  
This is the first 300 game ever to be bowled in this junior league.
  
Congratulations Jalon, we are so proud of you.
