Ben Vereecken, a “Whiz Kid” from the 1950’s was, in 1960, the first lefthander named to the All City Team. As a member of the Clique Lanes team, he helped to capture 37 titles in the Grand Rapids City, the Polish City and the Polish State Tournaments.
